Project Title: 2025 - Water Well Construction

João Landim's Village Guinea-Bissau

Mark 9:41

“For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

Project Summary: This is a multi-ministry initiative and the first project of its kind that our team will lead. I hope to see more churches actively involved in the planning and logistics. We plan to send a small team to Guinea-Bissau in October,2025. Until then, we’ll be meeting with construction companies online over the next few months to discuss costs, logistics, and timelines. We are committed to full transparency, and anyone is welcome to join these Zoom calls.

This project aims to provide a reliable and sustainable source of clean water in the village ofJoão Landim's in Guinea-Bissau. Currently, this community of over 1900 people rely on distant and inconsistent water sources, which limits daily access to safe water for the families of this community. By installing a dedicated well, we aim to improve health, hygiene, and overall quality of life for the residents of this village, as well as the surrounding community.

Kingdom Connections:

I met Pastor JUCIÉLIO DE QUEIROZ SANTOS in 2024 through mutual connections in Dallas, TX. We are very close with the same Christian leader in Dallas and decided to team up for this projects as well as evangelistic outreach and discipleship projects in the months to come. I am very excited to be connect with Pastor JUCIÉLIO as well as Pastor Beto who is the Pastor in the village where we will be constructing the well.

Expected Impact - To Share The Gospel: The well will directly benefit over 1900 people within this village, and may also serve neighboring families who currently have limited access to clean water. This outreach will open new opportunities to share the Gospel within the community.

Project Goals:

  1. Ensure Access to Clean Water: Provide a consistent supply of potable water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and hygiene.

  2. Improve Health and Sanitation: Reduce waterborne illnesses and improve hygiene standards by allowing regular washing and sanitation.

  3. Empower the Community: Decrease dependency on unreliable sources and reduce the time spent fetching water, enabling more focus on education, care, and development for the children of the community..

Project Components:

  1. Site Assessment and Drilling: Assess the land for an ideal drilling location, hire a local drilling team, and begin well construction.

  2. Installation of Pump and Filtration System: Install a reliable hand or electric pump (depending on resources and power availability) and a filtration system to ensure safe, clean drinking water.

  3. Community Education on Water Usage and Maintenance: Train orphanage staff and community members on how to use, maintain, and care for the well.

Budget and Timeline:

COST: $12,500 U.S.

Current Funds: $3,000

We are seeking the support of seven churches, each contributing $1,250 to help fund this project. Most importantly, 100% of the donations will go directly toward the construction of the well—nothing will be allocated to administrative or travel expenses. Additionally, anyone is welcome to join the trip to preach, minister, and pray for the people of this village. My sincere prayer is that this will become a collaborative effort among multiple churches, united in purpose and working together.

The project budget includes costs for land assessment, drilling, pump and filtration installation, and training. During our pre-visit zoom meeting we hope to have general timelines established before our trip to Guinea Bissau in October of 2025.

If your church wants to participate in any way, please feel free to contact me directly at thebridgetoallnations@gmail.com.

Be Blessed,

Anthony Paulmeno
